Tech at Maramarua

Our Year 7 and 8 students are benefiting from a fantastic opportunity to expand their skills and connect with peers through our fortnightly technology offsite at Maramarua!

Every other Friday, these students engage in hands-on learning, exploring a range of subjects under the guidance of expert teachers. They delve into:

Hard Materials: Developing practical skills in woodworking, metalwork, and other construction-related areas.
Soft Materials: Unleashing their creativity through textiles, sewing, and other fabric-based projects.
Cooking: Learning valuable culinary skills and creating delicious treats.

The students come home with wonderful creations, showcasing their newfound abilities and hard work.

This offsite program also provides a valuable opportunity for our students to build relationships with peers from other schools within our Kāhui Ako. These connections will be particularly beneficial as they transition to Hauraki Plains College for high school.

We are thrilled to offer this enriching experience that fosters both skill development and community building.
